Burr and others still refusing to heed their constituents!!!

    According to NRO this AM:

    http://corner.nationalreview.com/

    Burr [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

According to CongressDaily , he plans on voting for the first cloture motion and is undecided for the rest. Our message: A vote for that first cloture vote is a vote for amnesty.

    From CongressDaily:

"If they want the bill to have a chance, that's what has to happen," said Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., who said he is willing to vote for the first cloture motion to proceed to the bill to allow the amendment process to begin.

Burr left open the possibility he would vote for the second cloture motion, which would ensure a final vote on the bill, if the bill is improved from his perspective by the amendments.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Immigration Vote Count [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

According to my notes and our current tally, we still don't know how

    Richard Burr (N.C.)

    Lamar Alexander (Tenn.)

    Kit Bond (Mo.)

    Gordon Smith (Ore.)

    Thad Cochran (Miss.)

    Norm Coleman (Min.)

    Orrin Hatch (Utah)

    and Bob Bennett (Utah).

plan to vote on the cloture on motion to proceed.

Any Senate offices who want off that list — who want to announce their senator's intent to vote against the cloture motion to proceed next week — feel free to e-mail klopez@nationalreview.com with the good news.

I called Alexander's office this morning. They said, he will be voting No on Cloture and No on the bill.

This reminds me of Sarge on the old Gomer Pyle Show when all the platoon would be shouting at the top of their lungs YES SIR!!! and Sarge would cup his ear and say "I can't heeeeaaaar yeeeewwww."

If a 3% approval rate on the immigration issue and being inundated with telephone calls from all over the country doesn't get their attention, I don't think anything will.

I'm beginning to wonder if this guy, Burr has connections with Big Business or something. He certainly doesn't have connections with North Carolinians and the American people.
