Van carrying illegal aliens wrecks NW of Tucson

A minivan carrying illegal immigrants crashed into an irrigation ditch Friday morning on Interstate 10 near Marana Road.

There were at least 14 occupants in the van, said officer Quentin G. Mehr, Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman. Two people were injured and taken to the hospital.

Mehr said the cause is under investigation.
