Vehicle With Illegal Immigrants Crashes Into Canal

PHOENIX - A vehicle carrying suspected illegal immigrants crashes into a canal just off the Interstate 10 and Wildhorse Pass Road Thursday morning.

At least one person was taken to a nearby hospital.

The Department of Public Safety was at the scene, along with fire crews and ambulances.

Police said that despite the heavy first responder presence, most of the people in the SUV were able to run away.

The crash did not affect traffic.
