Illegal immigrant Edwardo Castillo Hernandez allegedly killed a 45-year-old man on a dark Union City street corner by stabbing him twice in the heart following a fight on Aug. 11, officials said.

Hernandez, 21, of Palisade Avenue, was on Bergenline Avenue between 45th and 46th Streets at 1:14 a.m. that Saturday when he knifed Luis Rodolfo Castellanos, of 48th Street, officials said.

A bouncer from a nearby tavern saw the murder and ran after Hernandez, chasing him up Golden Lane, over several fences and through backyards before Union City cops grabbed him, officials said.

Prosecutors said Hernandez, who appeared intoxicated, admitted having an argument but did not say what it was about.

The state Regional Medical Examiner's Office found Castellanos was stabbed twice in the heart - once from under his left arm pit and the other in the breast just under the left nipple.
