Manhunt for Illegal Alien in Plattsburgh

Plattsburgh, New York - November 4, 2009

A massive search in Plattsburgh Wednesday night for an illegal alien who gave authorities the slip.

42-year old Linda Bjork Magnus-dottir of Iceland was awaiting arraignment in federal court when she asked police to use the bathroom and then took off. She is not considered dangerous. Authorities blocked streets surrounding the government center and used a Homeland Security helicopter to search from the sky.

She is facing illegal alien charges after crossing into the U-S from Canada at the Champlain Border Crossing
