DOUGLAS, Ariz. - Monday, Border Patrol agents out of the Douglas station took a group of 35 suspected illegal immigrants into custody, about 8 miles north of Douglas.
Turns out, Monday was a big day for the Border Patrol.
Earlier Monday, Border Patrol agents received a phone call from a concerned citizen regarding suspicious activity on the east side of Douglas.
Agents apprehended 10 illegal aliens inside of a home -- and the home didn't have running water or electricity.
Also Monday, agents from the Ajo station seized 674 pounds of marijuana. The 14 bundles of marijuana, worth $337,000, had been abandoned near the Organ Pipe National Monument.
The Border Patrol appreciates the assistance of the community. Suspicious activity can be reported by calling 1-877-872-7435. All calls will be answered and will remain anonymous.
