WACO, Texas (KWTX) A Waco man was held Monday in the McLennan County Jail charged with sexual assault of a child younger than 14-years-old.

David Castillo-Serrato, 35, was ordered held on bonds totaling $75,000 charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and without bond on an immigration detainer, online jail logs showed.

Castillo-Serrato, who appears as David Castillo on an online jail log, was arrested Saturday on a warrant issued to Waco police after the victim a forensic interview at the Children’s Advocacy Center and detectives filed an affidavit for the warrant, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

The victim, who is now 14-years-old, made an outcry to her mother about the assault, which she said happened several years ago and involved a man she knew.

Castillo-Serrato was arrested outside the Child Protective Services office in Waco.
