Florida students visit Valley to discuss SB1070 with Arpaio

Four students from Miami, Florida are in the Valley for what they hope will be a meeting with Sheriff Joe Arpaio on Tuesday.

The students, however, are all undocumented.

They admit it's possible when they visit the Sheriff's Office Tuesday morning, Arpaio could choose to arrest them. But the students, who all attend various colleges in Miami, say they are willing to take that risk.

They plan to visit the Sheriff's Office at 10:30 Tuesday morning.

However, the students say Arpaio has already informed them by letter he will not meet with them.

The students say they are going to show up anyway in hopes of speaking with Arpaio about what they say is his campaign against immigrants and his support of Senate Bill 1070.

They're prepared for the possibility that instead of a meeting with the Sheriff they could end up in jail.

A spokesperson for Arpaio said Monday night the Sheriff would not comment until the students actually show up at his office.

lets see if they show up in the office just how long they will be sitting there before they are asked to leave or cause a ruckus

They know that their actions are fruitless, as it relates to Sheriff Joe. It is all for drama, and for another mainstream media sob story. Open borders may like it, the vast majority of Americans do not.

I advise them to wear pink. Sheriff Joe is particularly fond of that color.
