    Border Patrol agents seized over 10,986 pounds of marijuana. Agents arrested 9 criminal aliens and 11 gang members. There were 7 rocking incidents.

    El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico and seized a loaded firearm near El Centro, California. Agents were flagged down by the United States Citizen (USC) driver of a vehicle, who claimed that he and his brother had been involved in an altercation inside their vehicle. The driver identified the passenger as his brother, stating his brother was an illegal alien. After the passenger was determined to be present in the United States illegally and arrested, a search of his person revealed two fully loaded pistol magazines. A loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol was found under the passenger seat. Records checks on the passenger revealed he had been previously removed from the United States.


    Miami Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a national of India in West Palm Beach, Florida. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history, to include convictions for assault in the state of Illinois, assault with a deadly weapon in the state of North Carolina, assault in the state of New York, and additional convictions and arrests in three other states.

    El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. Records checks revealed the subject had prior convictions for lewd acts with a child under 14 and assault to commit rape in the state of California.


    El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested three USCs for alien smuggling and 18 illegal aliens from China and Mexico in El Centro, California. Agents also seized one rifle, three handguns, two vehicles, U.S. currency, cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana during the incident.


    New Orleans Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico in New Orleans, Louisiana. Records checks revealed the subject was a suspect in the murder of an eight-week-old child in the state of Florida.


    Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a national of Cuba and rescued four illegal aliens from Mexico at the traffic checkpoint in Sarita, Texas. The subject from Cuba presented himself for inspection at the checkpoint and a scan using non-intrusive inspection technology revealed anomalies within the tractor-trailer he was operating. A search by agents uncovered the four illegal aliens locked inside the trailer.

    El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a USC near Alamogordo, New Mexico. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history and an active warrant of arrest issued in the state of New Mexico. The subject was also identified as a member of the Sureño 13 gang.


    Marfa Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested a USC and seized a Ford truck, a small amount of marijuana, and a Smith and Wesson .40 caliber pistol with 32 rounds of ammunition at the Interstate 10 traffic checkpoint near Sierra Blanca, Texas. The subject presented himself for inspection and a Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered the marijuana and the weapon. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history, including prior felony convictions for child cruelty and attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.


    Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents encountered and arrested two armed subjects near Picacho, Arizona. The subjects, both illegal aliens from Mexico, dropped a 12 gauge shotgun and .22 caliber revolver and attempted to abscond upon seeing the agents. The subjects were tracked and taken into custody. Both subjects admitted to possessing the weapons, but claimed to have found them in the desert

    Del Rio Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador near Brackettville, Texas. Records checks revealed the subject had active warrants of arrest for sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child, indecency with a child by exposure, and fondling a child, issued in the state of Texas.


    El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Santa Teresa, New Mexico. During processing, the subject was identified as a member of the Barrio Azteca gang. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history, to include prior convictions for robbery and aggravated assault. The subject had also been previously removed from the United States.


    Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 5,174 pounds of marijuana, a tractor-tanker, and arrested a USC at the traffic checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the tractor-tanker, and a subsequent scan using non-intrusive inspection technology revealed anomalies within the conveyance. A search by agents uncovered the marijuana concealed inside the tanker. Records checks revealed the tractor had been reported as stolen and the driver had an active warrant of arrest for parole violation.


    Rio Grande Valley Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 1,575 pounds of marijuana, a tractor-trailer, and arrested a USC at the traffic checkpoint near Falfurrias, Texas. A Border Patrol canine alerted to the vehicle, and a subsequent scan using non-intrusive inspection technology revealed anomalies within the trailer. A search by agents uncovered the marijuana.


    Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Ajo, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had an active warrant of arrest for homicide issued in the state of Washington.

    El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Calexico, California. Records checks revealed the subject was a Sureño gang member with an extensive criminal history. The subject had also been previously removed from the United States.


    El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 555 pounds of marijuana and a Jeep Cherokee near Deming, New Mexico. The vehicle was discovered abandoned with the marijuana inside.


    El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near El Paso, Texas. During processing, the subject admitted to being a Sureño gang member. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history and had been previously removed from the United States.


    Tucson Sector – A Border Patrol agent was assaulted near Douglas, Arizona. The agent was pursuing a suspected illegal alien through the brush when he was struck in the head and knocked to the ground by an assailant. The assailant fled, and the agent got up and gave chase. The agent caught up to his assailant, subduing and arresting him. Records checks revealed the subject, an illegal alien from Mexico, had been previously removed from the United States.

    El Centro Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico in Calexico, California. Records checks revealed the subject was an 18th Street gang member and had been previously removed from the United States.


    El Paso Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Rodeo, New Mexico. During processing, the subject was identified as a member of the Juaritos Maravilla gang. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history and had been previously removed from the United States.


    Marfa Sector – Border Patrol agents seized 429 pounds of marijuana and arrested an illegal alien from Mexico near Presidio, Texas. The marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle driven by the subject.

    Tucson Sector – Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal alien from El Salvador near Nogales, Arizona. Records checks revealed the subject had an extensive criminal history, including convictions for driving while intoxicated, spousal battery, and sexual intercourse with a minor. The subject had also been previously removed from the United States
