WaPo/ABC Poll: Only 19% 'Strongly Support' Senate Immigration Bill
WaPo/ABC Poll: Only 19% 'Strongly Support' Senate Immigration Bill

A new national poll has found that only 19% of Americans "strongly support" the Senate's comprehensive immigration bill, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of working class Americans while not solving the illegal immigration problem.
According to a Washington Post/ABC News poll that was released on Tuesday, only 46% of respondents supported the Senate's immigration bill, while 44% opposed. What was more telling was that only 19% of Americans "strongly" supported the Senate's immigration bill, while 30% of Americans are "strongly" opposed.
As the House seeks to take up an immigration reform bill, the poll found that only 32% of Americans even want the House to take up the Senate's immigration bill for an "up or down" vote.
The poll surveyed 1,002 Americans from July 18-21 and has a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points.
