Things got ugly between Donald Trump supporters and protesters who disrupted a rally in Virginia yesterday evening.

The Republican presidential candidate had been stumping to a crowd of about 5,000 supporters in Richmond.

Local media reported that when Trump started talking about building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico, some twenty protesters began shouting "Dump Trump" and unfurled a banner that said "No human life is illegal."

Police and event staff eventually began removing protesters from the room, but not before some angry Trump supporters got in their faces.

One man cursed at and appeared to spit in the face of a protester.

Politico's M. Scott Mahaskey also grabbed some photos of the altercations.

After the dust-up, Trump resumed speaking.
