A Waukegan man could face up to 60 years in prison, and likely deportation, after pleading guilty to a sexual assault charge Thursday.
Abel Alvarado-Gonzalez, 21, pleaded to one count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child under 13 years old. He was facing nine counts of that Class X felony

Alvarado-Gonzalez was arrested by Waukegan police in February 2006 following an investigation into his sexual relationship with a child. According to prosecutor Bodie Haxell, Alvarado-Gonzalez had vaginal intercourse with a girl under 13 on numerous occasions.
Alvarado-Gonzalez appeared in court wearing a blue Lake County Jail jumpsuit and pleaded guilty though an interpreter.
After pleading guilty to one count of the charge, Judge James Booras said Alvarado-Gonzalez faces a minimum of six to 30 years in prison, but he could face up to 60 years in prison.
Additionally, Booras told Alvarado-Gonzalez, "Almost certainly you will be deported (to Mexico)."
Alvarado-Gonzalez's sentencing hearing is scheduled Oct. 22. He will be required to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence, Haxell said.

So I don't want to assume...these people serve there time here? (and under our expense) and then they are deported?
The city of Waukegan has applied for 287g, but we are working on the county sheriff (county jail is in Waukegan) to apply for 287g. Then he can get these people out of our community before they commit such a henious crime.
Families and supporters of those recently caught up in the Waukegan ICE deportation raid recently held a prayer vigil on their behalf. I wonder if they would hold a support vigil for this guy...
As a parent I just want him the heck out of here. At least he's tagged for deportation now.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
