What Mexicans Without Borders Costs The Taxpayers

Have you ever wondered how much it cost the taxpayers for that wonderful little circus a few weeks ago at the McCoart Center where Mexicans Without Borders held their little protest? Well, wonder no longer, as the costs have now been tallied:

COSTS:

1. Removal of county vehicles from the parking lots prior to the event: $ 625.00
2. Portable toilets: $ 1,450.00
3. Clean-up (staff during and after the event): $ 690.84
4. Police services: $32,965.00

Total: $35,739.84

PAID BY MEXICANS WITHOUT BORDERS: $350 plus a $1,000 security deposit

Somehow, I don’t think the taxpayers got their money’s worth here. Why they heck were the taxpayers on the hook for porta-potties that the organizers should reasonably have been asked to provide? I can understand how the county had to bear the costs for police here, but as for the rest, I can’t see why taxpayers should have had to subsidize this.

Can't the city bill them for it?????????????
