WASHINGTON, DC--Democratic members of Congress got in their last parting shots at Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff at a Committee on Homeland Security hearing on border security on Thursday, July 17., before Congress adjourns at the end of July.

While committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), congratulated Chertoff on “significant strides towards securing America’s borders since the 9/11 terrorist attacksâ€

Some yes vmonkey . But wouldn't it be great if they nailed the big dog's?
Sure they deport some , some they don't If they did the right thing for Americans and jailed the super's and upper management that would send a true signal = Exit Turn South Now

I get suspicious anytime the Democrats criticize something that is supposed to slow down illegal immigration. Yes, I suspect an ulterior motive. Could it be that they just want to utilize a so-called secure border as a bartering chip for a future amnesty? Furthermore, as good Democrats, it's their job to make the Bush administration look incompetent.
