NCLR CALLS ON BUSH ADMINISTRATION TO RECONSIDER DISCRIMINATORY MEASURES IN IMMIGRATION PACKAGE
MurguĂ*a Urges President Bush to Meet with Hispanic Leadership on Reversal of Position
Washington, DC – The National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S., expressed deep concerns over the Bush Administration’s recently unveiled immigration plan. The measures include increasing the use of state and local law enforcement in enforcing federal immigration laws, expanding raids at workplace sites, and implementing new Social Security “no matchâ€

Good info. Thanks for the link.

Just pondering....with Bush's 180....could they be trying to spark a racial uprising. It's just so 180 that I don't get it. But I also don't think that he's for real or genuine in this.

They have got something going on with this charades.

Do they want rioting, etc., so this president can send in the troops -

Why did this President choose to put in place some 'new and improved' laws when what we have is sufficient. Did he want LaRaza to take them to court and stop them?

If that is true, then George Bush is suffering from the same demented "psychosis" that afflicted certain Roman Emperors as they went crazy. Too much power has made Bush go nuts. He may actually believe that causing civil unrest will force ordinary citizens to "back down".

I am deeply, bitterly ashamed that I voted for George Bush, the official "worst president" that this country has ever had...

I haven't "just about had enough", I've had it. Shouldn't LaRaza be calling on Calderon to do something for those of her raza who are here illegally instead of ripping off our tax dollars fighting for their imaginery civil rights?

We didn't have much of a choice - I just didn't vote - but I understand how one could have voted for him - don't know about the second time, though - but Kerry?

Yes I think it is time for LaRaza to move to Mexico City, after all there are many times more Latinos there than here. Plus the Ford Foundation has an office in Mexico City, so why don't they team up and go after the Mexican elite instead of the American middle class?
