No, you aren't reading it right at all. The renewals are a part of the 690,000 less the 40,000 that didn't apply to renew in time, so there's around 650,000 assuming DHS renews all 115,000 which it doesn't have to approve any of them and probably won't approve them all, plus some that didn't renew have already expired and are expiring as we speak. So by now, there's less than 650,00 and shrinking every day.

The 800,000 number is the gross number of applications since the program renewed in 2014, not the actual grants or active ones still in the program.

Yeah, I've read that chart from CATO before. I don't know why you're acting like this is some big revelation, MW. The 690,000 number has been out there for weeks. DHS announced the figures shortly after the DACA program was rescinded.

Who said anything was "some big revelation"? All I'm doing is asking about and maybe questioning the numbers.

They were released by DHS several weeks ago. Google is your friend.
