Bill allows local governments to ask about immigration status
The Associated Press
MADISON — Local governments could not be prevented from asking about a person’s immigration status under a bill that passed the Republican-controlled Assembly. The measure faces an uncertain future in the Democratic-led Senate.
The bill prohibits a municipality or a county from passing any restrictions on asking about the immigration status of someone seeking or receiving government services. The bill also would disallow any prohibition on local governments contacting the federal government about illegal immigrants in the community.
The bill would also override any existing contrary local ordinances

They're removing all local sanctuary regs in effect. I like it.
