Plan would deny Outagamie County services to illegal immigrants

APPLETON — An Outagamie County Board member plans to introduce a resolution next week aimed at denying illegal immigrants county-run services like food stamps and home health care.


Supv. Jim Steineke’s proposal would require applicants to produce evidence of citizenship such as a passport or Certificate of Naturalization in order to qualify for services. They would also have to present proof of identity, such as a driver’s license.

“I asked for a list of all the programs the county offers and what the requirements were for verifying citizenship,â€
