Woman and 2 Sons Found Dead Inside So CA Home

Ran across the following news article this morning and still waiting for more facts. It could involve foul play and possibly related to her husbands kidnapping in Tijuana a few years ago. I'll update the story if anything significant unfolds later.

Authorities Identify Bodies Of Woman, 2 Boys
    Deputies Find Home 'Heavily Secured'

SAN DIEGO -- A woman found dead along with her two sons in their house believed she was being followed recently, it was reported Wednesday.

Ana Marcia Ochoa-Fernandez said she was living in fear for her life, neighbors told The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Her husband was kidnapped in Tijuana two years ago -- not long after winning a $20 million court judgment -- and was never heard from again, according to the newspaper.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the house in the 3000 block of Sylvia Street around 8 a.m. by the woman's daughter, who said she had not talked to her mother in about a week, Lt. Tom Bennett said.

"The concern for foul play was increased due to an accumulation of mail (and) newspapers, and pets not being fed," Bennett said. "Based on the circumstances, the deputies decided to force entry to the home."

Due to an array of household security equipment, including reinforced doors and grills over the windows, the deputies needed firefighters' help to get inside.

The bodies of Ochoa-Fernandez and her sons, Jose Jr., 10, and Angel, 3, showed no obvious trauma, Bennett said.

The boys' father Jose Fernandez, was kidnapped in front of them in Tijuana, but the family was unable to meet ransom demands, neighbors told the newspaper.

Susana Jimenez, the next-door neighbor, said she still can't believe what detectives found inside the house.

"I'm very shocked -- very saddened," Jimenez said.

"It really freaks me out. I don't know how to put it in words. It's gone to the heart, really," neighbor Brenda Jackson said.

I guess family values really doesn't stop at the Rio Grande huh Jorge?

It's amazing that Jorge Bush wants to subject us to these subversive human beings and their subversive culture all under the guise of cheap labor.

Woman living 'in fear,' two sons found dead in their Bonita home

    By Tanya Sierra
    UNION-TRIBUNE STAFF WRITER
    August 10, 2005

    DON KOHLBAUER / Union-Tribune
Nubia Gurrola (center) talked to an unidentified member of law enforcement outside a home in Bonita where three neighbors were found dead Tuesday.

BONITA – The bodies of a Bonita woman and her two sons were found in their home yesterday, and authorities were investigating a link between their deaths and the reported kidnapping of her husband two years ago in Tijuana.

Sheriff's deputies went to the home in the 3000 block of Sylvia Street about 8 a.m. after the woman's daughter called authorities out of concern that she hadn't heard from her mother in at least a week.

Deputies haven't identified the woman or the children, but sheriff's Lt. Tom Bennett said the victims matched the description the adult daughter gave of her mother and two brothers.

Bennett said there was no forcible entry into the home and no indication of what caused the deaths, although there was blood on the bodies. He said the victims had been dead several days and the bodies were decomposing.

Neighbors identified the woman as Ana Marcia Ochoa-Fernandez and said she was living in fear for her life. They said her sons were Jose Jr., 10, and Angel, 3.

About two years ago, the woman's husband, whom neighbors identified as Jose Fernandez, was kidnapped in Tijuana in front of his sons. They were unharmed.

The day before he was kidnapped, the husband had been awarded $20 million in a civil judgment in a Tijuana court, Bennett said yesterday.

The husband was never found, he said.

The woman had been asked for a ransom, but was never able to come up with enough money, said one neighbor, who asked not to be identified.

The neighbor said the woman believed someone had been following her and had security bars and cameras installed in her home.

"This goes deep," the neighbor said. "She was constantly in fear."

The older son, Jose Ochoa was about to start fifth grade at Valley Vista Elementary School in Bonita next week.

"It's devastating," said Valley Vista Principal Gloria McKearney. She said the boy was quiet and "just a good little boy."

McKearney said she and the Chula Vista schools superintendent were considering how to inform the Valley Vista community when school resumes.

Bennett said deputies were sent to the home twice in the past two years after the woman said she heard noises or saw suspicious people.

Those concerns "at the time were unsubstantiated," Bennett said.

"There was a high level of paranoia on the part of the woman who lived in the home," he said.

The daughter had stopped by the home daily since Friday and became increasingly worried when the dogs had no food and water and the mail was piling up, Bennett said.

Deputies obtained a search warrant last night and began their investigation inside the home. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's homicide line at (85 974-2321.

This should be interesting. What the heck could one get a $20 million judgement in Tijuana for? Maybe the debtor didn't want to pay up. No heirs left. Convienient. No forced entry. Lots of puzzle pieces missing.
Want to make people angry? Lie to them.
Want to make them absolutely livid? Tell 'em the truth."

I agree it could be a very interesting story when more information is released. There may be one heir since the article mentioned something about a daughter.

They are calling the cause of death as suicide. Guess the woman flipped out and killed her children before shooting herself.
