U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized 77 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $1 million Monday, while searching a northbound car.

Blaine officers discovered the drugs concealed in a compartment and in the spare tire under the cargo area of a Ford Explorer destined for Canada, according to a CBP release.

The cocaine was contained in numerous vacuum sealed packages, the release said.
