SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. (AP)― A 48-year-old woman is being charged with scamming illegal immigrants in Rockland County - by taking money to get them with green cards and citizenship.

Spring Valley Police say Olha Lutay's is charged with grand larceny and scheming to defraud.

Police say she took about $17,000 each from at least a dozen immigrants who thought she had special connections with Immigration and Naturalization Services.

Lutay is a Ukrainian national who also is in this country illegally. Police say she targeted the large Russian, Polish and Ukrainian community living in Spring Valley and Monsey.

Police say when people began pressuring her for their documents and she would refund their money with a bad check.

This proves my theory that people will scam their own ethnic groups. Looks at how many hispanics (legal and illegal) exploit hispanic illegals. Of course they want the illegals here, they PROFIT from it DUH!

This woman exploits her own countrymen. LaRaza gets rich off hispanic illegals, etc.

There is no acceptable reason for someone to be here illegally and the ones who fight so hard to keep them here, usually have an agenda.

Hope she gets deported first, before those who stayed here illegally, that she then defrauded.

Send 'em back and don't let them back in, there is no excuse for these people to have let their documentation to slip.

Spring Valley Police ask anyone who may have done business with Lutay to call them.
Wonder how many calls they are getting....an Illegal trying to commit fraud complains about being scammed. Self-incrimination--poetic justice.
Suppose the government will grant them all immunity for testifying--but isn't that a form of BUYING testimony....

Police say she took about $17,000 each from at least a dozen immigrants who thought she had special connections with Immigration and Naturalization Services.
How did all the illegals come up with $17,000 in the first place?

To stand in silence when they should be protesting makes cowards out of men.

I thought if someone got ripped off when they were doing something illegal the courts were supposed to stay out of it anyways. If a drug user gets ripped off by a drug dealer, the courts can't tell the drug dealer to give the user their money back. Why is it ok for illegals who are commiting a crime to get help from the courts? (I doubt they thought she had any special connections and this was legal)

This clearly illustrates the old adage: "There is no honor among thieves." It also clearly illustrates that illegals are exempt from our laws. It is a travesty that they even want assistance from the public. They should all be deported pronto.
