DENVER (AP) - Denver prosecutors plan Thursday to describe the details of a woman's death to a judge, who will decide whether the prime suspect in that case stands trial for first-degree murder.

Thirty-six-year-old Jose Luis Rubi-Nava is accused of tying a rope around the woman's neck and dragging her for more than a mile behind a vehicle to her death.

The body of Luz Maria Franco Fierros was found in a quiet subdivision near Castle Rock.

Authorities say her boyfriend dragged the 49-year-old Mexican immigrant last September 18th until she died by strangulation and massive head wounds.

A judge stopped short of issuing a gag order last fall that Rubi-Nava's defense had requested, but the judge warned prosecutors and investigators to abide by strict state ethics rules.

Attorneys on both sides have repeatedly declined to comment ever since.

This is so tragic...they act like animals and we are supposed to welcome them to our country? Hardly.

and to think she would probably be alive,if he had been deported, how our law enfocement and judges sleep at night is beyond me, I wouldn't be able to do it!!!
