A 33-year-old woman was gunned down Sunday afternoon at Pascual Orozco and Manuel Ojinaga streets, División del Norte neighborhood, in Juárez, Chihuahua state police said.

MarÃ*a Leticia GarcÃ*a Paredes was stepping down from a vehicle when several gunmen opened fire against her.

According to Juárez news outlets, the woman was a matachÃ*n dancer and was chased down by her killers.

Early morning Monday, a 36-year old man was pronounced dead at a local hospital after being wounded by a firearm, authorities said.

Guillermo Jáuregui Aguilar was riddled with bullets in the Tierra Nueva neighborhood in south Juárez.
