Victim last seen being taken by force

REYNOSA, Mexico - A woman's body was found this morning with a threatening note for the Mexican military.

Mexican police discovered the body of 47-year-old Aracely De La Cruz across the highway from the military's headquarters. They say she was shot to death.

A poster board taped to her body had the message, "This will happen to any finger-pointers or informants."

The Mexican government sent troops to the border town in order to fight the rise in violence. Three hundred soldiers were sent to Reynosa just last week.

Investigators suspect the murder is meant to threaten the Mexican soldiers But they say they aren't sure who murdered the 47-year-old or why she was the victim.

Vicente De La Cruz is the victim's brother. He tells us four people took his sister against her will last week. That was the last time he saw her.

He says he doesn't understand why.

"She loved helping people. She never hurt anybody," he says.

De La Cruz suspects his sister was used to send a message.

Saul Carrillo is visiting Reynosa from Houston. He asks if the military's in danger, who will be left to protect the people?

Meanwhile, the Mexican government continues to sending re-enforcements to combat the violence in border towns.
