The TSA does not drug test. So right there is falsity number one.

This story was thrown out to the media by two my-child-is-exempt-from-the-rules parents. Anyone and everyone who flies runs the chance of being patted down by the TSA. This is not groping. This is not molestation. It's a basic patdown. These parents need to get a grip. If we exempt children, the elderly, or ANYONE from a TSA security check, then we run the risk of people taking advantage of those exemptions in a possible threatening way.

People have the right to be pissed at this rule, not like this rule, whatever. But if you fly, you go through a security check. If you don't like it, don't fly. Or take a stand, write to Congress, and try to get things changed.

Yes, our Government sucks in more ways than one. But for anyone to think that an individual should be exempt from a patdown based on age, well that's just ridiculous. It is what it is. We have bigger fish to fry in this country than to be in an uproar over a kid being patted down, right next to her mother, by a TSA official who appeared to conduct a simple, basic, standard patdown.
