    The war plane, flown by a pilot from display team the Blue Angels, stunned onlookers with its low-level fly-by.

    A witness said: “The planes left everybody in awe. It looked as if they would hit something on the water. People in boats must have been terrified.â€

    I saw a low flying fighter plane by my house five or so years ago. And it did scare the heck out of me. It was so loud you can't imagine....and fast.

    I live near an air force base, and sometimes they swoop so low you'd swear you could see the guy's teeth grinning. I just love our troops - we are an army family going back to our legal immigration here. My youngest, a mechanical engineering student, took his first jet flight two years ago, and got way more out of it than your average first time traveller. It made him that much prouder to be an American, to see up close the majesty of our technological achievements.
