    Border fence destroyed by sand?

    Border Fence Destroyed by Sand?

Top photo shows break in fence southeast of Yuma, Arizona. This and other breaks in fence in this area appear to have been caused by shifting sand. This fencing has been in place for about a year. -- Bottom photo shows different design being used west of Yuma. Problem may have been that mesh fence did not allow sand to pass through. Could it be that forty miles of fence near Yuma will have to be replaced? This could cost as much $300 million if DHS cost numbers are to be believed.

Truck the sand to the beaches! So the fences need to built higher and deeper. There is a limit to how high the sand will go. American Engineers please get to work on this problem.

    What a joke!!!!

That is why we needed a DOUBLE layer fence One blocks the sand and the other blocks the Illegals.

Why wont they build an actual deterrent type of fence like we have in our prisons with low voltage and razor wire and deep foundations to deter tunneling? No one can answer that question.....I'm not and engineer but its common scene if your building a barrier to keep people out you must do it right!!!!

That doesn't look like much of a fence in the first place. Anyone with a grappling hook and rope could cross over easily.

Maybe we should consult with China( we may as well get something out of this one-way relationship ) on how to build a suitable "wall" that will actually keep invaders out! This attempt is nothing more than window dressing and is truly pathetic! It's kind of obvious that our government has little intentions of keeping anyone out of this country!!

Heck, it doesn't even have to be trucked that far, I'm sure Galveston area needs it more right now.

We should hire the people who built Israel's fence, they'll do it right the first time and probably within budget.
