I do know of two people who participate in the CFR. They operate a para-mission organization called Institute for Global Engagement, which seeks to address the issue of religious persecution in different parts of the world. Mr. Robert Seiple (former President of World Vision, former Ambassador for Religious Freedom [by Clinton], former USMC pilot) is the founder. His son Chris Seiple is now President of IGE. Both are involved in the CFR. I've only met the senior Mr. Seiple once, a few years back. I would be curious to ask them their views on the question of US sovereignty vs, global governance, and see what sort of answer they would come up with. The advocate not only for Christian religious groups but for other minority religions, as well. It would be interesting to get their take on this matter. I get regular emails from IGE.

I do think you are pointing out some very valid concerns. There is a class of people who believe that Americans have way too much prosperity, and, beyond what can voluntarily be acquired, seem determined to force what we do have away from us and award it to those they deem worthy. American society also seems to produce more and more materially useless people, but who are also quick to cast blame on this country. How the CFR fits into this I don't know very well. I don't know if there is a highly critical element within it--whether it is a majority--or comprising its entirely. And I don't know what influence it carries--or will carry down the road.

If you had some publications from the CFR to prove the point I think that would be helpful.
