One of the more interesting operating falacies that I hear from the opposition says that if the United States adds x0000 unskilled jobs a year then there should be that many unskilled immigrants added each year. It is kind of funny that there is an expectation that our own citizen unskilled have any right to have their employment needs be considered at all.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Tamar Jacoby attempted to pin Krikorian down with the argument that "Why should we divert skilled American workers back to do agricultural work?" Krikorian did not do such a bad job--but the real explanation for this irony is that the agricultural workers themselves, as many organized labor groups will do, erected an obstacle to the technological progress in their industry. They did this to guarantee themselves, and followers, job security and unending work and accomplished it through legal and political advocacy.
