Yeah, I heard about that over the weekend. Sad, very sad - that should never happen here.

I'm glad to see it being investigated as a homicide - maybe the word will 'get out' and hospital staff all over the country will re-align their priorities accordingly. I, too, have had to take an elderly family member into the ER on multiple occasions and at all hours of the day and although most of the time the process worked about as 'expected', sometimes, though, the wait was a bit unnerving (especially when involving a heart condition). So what would a person do? Pack up, and drive down the road to the next available hospital? How practical is that?

That poor woman. I'm glad to hear her death was ruled a homicide. The hospital was definately negligent. She should still be alive right now. This must be happening more than we are hearing about. Americans suffering and dying because of overcrowded ERs.
