First members of migrant caravan arrive and climb border wall

Retiring Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake on Wednesday said the decision to send thousands of troops to the southern border a 'stunt,' saying they would be away from families without justification. 'You can't call it anything but a stunt here,' Flake told MSNBC. President Trump dispatched 5,000 troops in the weeks before the election as the immigrant caravan proceeded on foot, with a Pentagon plan to put in place 15,000. Some immigrants climbed a border fence in Tijuana, but those who jumped the border were apprehended by Border Patrol.
