Surveillance video shows Parkersburg tornado

Surveillance video captured by cameras at First State Bank in Parkersburg shows the tornado passing outside the bank on May 25.

The video shows the tornado blowing out the windows and debris swirling around inside the building. Even the surveillance cameras are thrown around as the bank is ripped apart.

A bank official says the vault was not harmed, and a new building will be constructed around the current vault. In the meantime, First State Bank will operate from a temporary location.

The May 25 tornado killed seven people in Parkersburg and New Hartford and injured dozens of others.
