    Kern County, Ca. gets new sheriff's car

    The Kern County, California, Sheriff's Department orders plain
    white patrol units and has the graphics applied locally. In this case, what
    they ordered was not quite what they got. This car was driven for 1 week
    before an officer noticed what the graphics company employee did on the
    passenger side of the car. The employee did this on his last day working for
    the graphics company before he retired.

    I love it!
    Years ago when I worked for a ambulance company I made up a sign that said;
    Sandy Eggo pair-o-medixs
    (San Diego Paramedics)
    Made a few folks mad but most thought it was funny.

    That's funny!

    I lived in Del Mar back in the late 80's.

    It was getting bad then, I hate to think of how bad it is now.

    I was just down that way for the McGonigle Canyon Campout. I'm not even sure Del Mar is Del Mar anymore. The exit for the race track and the fair grounds looked like like it's been moved north on highway 5. I think the Del Mar exit is called something else now. Every street seem to have some Spanish name on it now. We had a lot of them before but this trip I only remember seeing one American sounding name, Bing Crosby Blvd.

    I can see keeping some of the old Spanish names for things but we've been here for a while now and don't really need to be naming all of the new streets El Burrito this or La Taco that.

    That picture is actually doctored with the "and take your doughnuts too" line, but the "we'll kick your ass" was really applied to a vehicle. It was only there long enough to take the picture, and was immediately removed.
