Update, confirmed, talked to station
Again I called the station in LA, channel 62.
I spoke with the Programing Director, Miguel Benhohian (not sure the spelling on the last name). He spoke English with a faint accent so we could clearly understand eachother.
I asked for confirmation and he said yes, that is a billboard that they have paid and advertising agency to create and promote their station. He said he wasn't directly responsible for the sign since that is the marketing department. I confirmed the text on the billboard is what it says (ie. the your city and the crossed out CA with Mexico).
He wasn't apologetic but he wasn't rude either. I expressed my feelings to him on how I was upset and that I felt it offensive. He understood. I asked if I could speak with the marketing group and he said that he would bring up my concerns at their next meeting of the management team (which happens every two weeks).
I also mentioned to him that I felt this would be like the US labeling Baghdad as Baghdad, USA. He again understood.
He said I was the first call to the station that he has received. Perhaps others have called but it seems like I may be the only one because the receptionist that transferred me knew me right off when I said I was calling about the sign.
I think we can count this confirmed. Now what happens?

All details were confirmed yesterday by ALIPAC staff and volunteers. We would not run a story on "presumption." This isn't "The Enquirer!"
Details of the unfolding of events are in this thread and summarized on the front page (this story is a front page news story with a link into this discussion thread).
WorldNetDaily ran the story yesterday, Michelle Malkin has it on her blog today and www.phxnews.com also has it as a front page story.
