    Report from Carlsbad

Hear The Speeches at the Carlsbad Meeting by visiting this LINK

    http://minutemanparty.com/

Carlsbad was great! It was packed. 400- 450 seating and when I got there, at 6:25 all the seats were gone.

The speakers were great. 250 people stayed outside, talking, looking for information, wondering how to help.

150 or so counterprotesters, looking weak and silly.

    Line to get in.

    Minutemen from Campo

Some were seeing the counter protester for the first time.

    Law Enforcement was great!

    Lots of media!

    Open Borders Opposition

Chanting "We want a world without borders." In Spanish.

    Arguing with the police.

    Pro illegal activist

    Praying to Mecca

    Embarressed open border protester

Funniest moment: The counter protesters gathered in the street at about 10:00 PM,surrounded by police, talking about how they were going to "confront" the "racists" when they "walked out that door."

What they did not realize was they meeting attenders had already gone out through a back exit.

    Police were excellent.

Thanks so much ladyofshallot for these outstanding pictures!!

It was a great event and we're so proud and thankful for everyone's efforts and of course the Congressman who stood up for the right to assemble and to do something about illegal immigration.

It looks also like the police did an outstanding job as well.

That was a brilliant move by the police. They had us go out the back door, which also was near the main parking lot, at around 9 PM. I never saw a single protester and had no problems leaving. Maybe they are still waiting today for everyone to come out.

That "reporter" for the SD Trib looks like Ruben Navarette, a known Raza sympathizer/illegal lover. His drivel gets published in the Op/Ed section of the Fresno Tick (Bee) on a weekly basis.

<edit> Does anyone find irony in the protestor holding the sign reading "Holy places are not for WARship"? I wonder if he knows how many Radical Muslim Extremists have been using their mosques to spread hate here in the US and how many insurgent terrorists have been hiding in mosques in Iraq and Afghanistan?

You are correct about Ruben Navarette. I introduced myself as a Minuteman standing next to my wife who happens to have brown skin (pic above) just before his photo was taken. He couldn't think of anything to say, clever or otherwise.

What an awesome turnout! Great photos!
