That's a good video. Easy to follow and so true.

I saw the change in McDonalds in the mid-1980's in New Mexico. Now in CA I don't go near the place, ever! It gives me the creeps to get food from them. You can't even understand what the heck these people are saying on the speaker because of their heavy accent and lousey English.

I don't think this video is going to fly as a valid argument against illegal immigration, jimpasz. Mcdonald's is a stupid place and I pity any American who would have to work there. It is a deadend job, excepting the managerial job, and a manager would still be faced with hiring a crew.
But since Americans, especially retirees nowadays, like to hang out at Mc D's and drink coffee and read the free newspapers I guess it will keep getting customers.

The same is true for other fast food joints, for convenience markets, for car washes and the myriad other California-invented, cheapo franchises that have sprung up like weeds since World War 2. How did America ever survive without those? Still, those jobs would be fine for teenagers--if you can convince them that mastery of video games and the video camera social trend doesn't prepare them for anything practical in life. My niece just finished her four year degree and is back to serving coffee as a barista. I owned my own home outright by that age! Our kids are getting their minds filled up with useless liberal nonsense---and these idiotic "drive thru" cultural trends which emanate from the American Southwest don't help very much. If we didn't have those we wouldn't have so many stupid low class jobs for illegals.

Many years ago, when I was a kid, I worked at Mc Donolds and it was hard and horrible work. However, it allowed me enough to buy clothes for school and a few extra's that my parents could not have afforded to give to me. The experience also gave me a strong work ethic. If I was 16 now that job would probably be taken by an illegal...that's the point.
