VIDEO: Migrants on ‘lockdown’ do ‘battle’ on Lesbos; turn against local people

Two gangs of mostly Afghan migrants clashed at the infamous Moria camp on the Greek island of Lesbos over the weekend, despite being on “lockdown”.

Why the groups decided to do battle with one another is not known. However, after fighting with what appears to have been wooden sticks, the migrants turned their attention against local Greeks, with some reportedly hurling rocks at a car driving by, according to the Greek City Times.As of this report, nearly 50,000 migrants and asylum seekers are currently being housed on the island of Lesbos. Of that 50,00, roughly 20,000 people live in and around Moria camp. Prior to the Chinese COVID-19 outbreak, the situation on Lesbos and at Moria was already dire. As Voice of Europe has chronicled in the past few months, several fires and riots have broken out on the island as a result of increased tensions between locals and the migrants.
