State and federal officials assure us that these Chinese-made chemicals are absolutely safe.

Note that according to this report only one small municipality has had the guts to stop adding this junk to local drinking water supplies. The rest go ahead based on assurances from the ever-reliable federal government.

By the way, did you catch who certifies this stuff?

First of all, what is a "foundation" doing in the business of certifying chemicals added to drinking water?

But wait, it gets better. Here's how this "foundation" describes itself:

"Serving manufacturers operating in 80 countries..."

But maybe this part will make you feel better.

Their motto is "live safer."

See? Everything's just fine.

By the way, the fluoride we add to water is not to make it safe to drink. It's a "therapeutic" measure. Sort of like adding aspirin or valium.

In this case, the stated goal is to "reduce cavities" though fluoride poisoning is known target the brain, all major organs and the nervous system.
