I voted illegal immigration, by the way.

Last night, our local news had a follow up story about the 229 illegals rounded up in local hotels a couple days ago. The lead in was: How many of over 200 undocumented immigrants were criminals?

ALL OF THEM, in my opinion. But the news only seems to think two, who have been deported before are criminals. Needless to say, I wrote the station a letter this morning explaining that the minute they came across the border without permission or papers, they became illegals and are therefore ALL criminals.

No wonder these people get confused and think it is OK for them to be here.

I'm not sure if another hundred were caught last night or if the local media is still playing around with the same ones they got a couple days ago. In any event, they are all still criminals.

There is talk of invoking the RICO Act and confiscating the property of those who aided them--meaning the hotel owners who put them up-- and I'm all for that! You can't tell me that some hotel owner rents out rooms to a hundred or so people with no cars and doesn't know that something is fishy. How many times have you gone to a hotel in the last 30 years when you weren't asked for your plate number?
