According to this site, Title 8 of the U.S. Code defines gaps about citizenship left by the Constitution. Perhaps it is possible to change the law to have any child born here of an illegal deemed declared a citizen of the illegal's mother's country, unless there is a citizen parent? Clearly there are already ways for a natural born citizen to lose citizenship that are not spoken to in the Constitution.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Arizona finds that 64% agree that children born to illegal immigrants should not automatically become citizens of the United States. Twenty-six percent (26%) disagree and say these children should become U.S. citizens.

Nationally, 58% of voters say a child born to an illegal immigrant in this country should not automatically become a citizen of the United States. Thirty-three percent (33%) disagree and say if a women enters the United States illegally and gives birth to a child here, that child should automatically be a U.S. citizen. That’s what the current law allows, and many believe it would require a constitutional amendment to change the law.

    The poll

1* Do you favor or oppose the state’s new immigration law?

2* Should the U.S. Justice Department challenge the legality of Arizona’s new immigration law in federal court?

    23% Yes
    62% No
    15% Not sure

3* Would you favor or oppose strict government sanctions on employers who hire illegal immigrants?

    73% Favor
    15% Oppose
    12% Not sure

4* Suppose a woman enters the United States as an illegal alien and gives birth to a child in the United States. Should that child automatically become a citizen of the United States?

southBronx, I think that this particular Rasmussen poll is closed, and this is the breakdown. Check the "Poll" Forum here on Alipac, and there may be new polls for us to have a vote on these and other immigration issues.
