U.S. needs to toughen its stance on illegal immigration?
For some reason I just got an email alert on this old story which I found pretty offensive but I noticed the pro-illegal side's been hitting the poll which has obviously been up for awhile, so I decided to post it:
Do you think the U.S. needs to toughen its stance on illegal immigration?

Here's the story from 2006:
From Newsday
Levy weighs link to immigration reformers
BY BART JONES | Newsday Staff Writer
March 23, 2006
Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy said yesterday he is distancing himself from a Washington, D.C., group that critics describe as an anti-immigrant organization.
Levy said he is reassessing his association with the Federation for American Immigration Reform after reviewing a report about it by a Chicago-based civil rights group.
"There are some very disturbing allegations against the group contained in the Center for New Community report that if true would require some serious explanation and could ultimately lead to our complete disassociation with their organization," Levy said.
A representative of the group spoke at a meeting of elected officials from around the nation Levy helped organize in Washington on March 6 to talk about the local impact of illegal immigration. Levy said the group is not a member of the coalition.
Devin Burghart, of the Center for New Community, said the Federation for American Immigration Reform has received more than $1.2 million from the Pioneer Fund, a "notoriously racist" foundation formed in 1937 to encourage the descendants of white Colonists to procreate.
He said staffers with the Federation for American Immigration Reform have spoken at events with members of the Council of Conservative Citizens, which he called the largest white nationalist organization in the nation, and have given grants to anti-immigrant "hate groups" including $11,000 to American Patrol in California.
Federation spokesman Jack Martin denied that the group is anti-immigrant and said it is devoted to fighting illegal immigration and reducing legal immigration.
He acknowledged the Pioneer Fund money but said it was "a long time ago" and asserted that "prestigious" universities have received similar funding, although he could not name any.
He said Federation staffers have spoken at Council of Conservative Citizens events, but that they address a broad spectrum of organizations. He added that he did not know if the Federation funded American Patrol.

Amazing, that in some people's politically correct thoughts there is still no real understanding between legal and illegal immigrants. They are not interchangeable.!!!!

Attitudes change with knowledge...
In 2006 many people were not as informed as they are today about the issue/impact of illegal immigration. I think the percentage of Americans , given the clear facts ( from Alipac, NumbersUSA, Judicial Watch and programs like Last American Standing, Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reiley) instead of the liberal socialist media lies ... would be substantially higher!
I think the powers- that- be did not want the Ameican people to understand what was really happening so they could get over on us and out their agenda in place!
We must keep fighing for America and educate more and more people about the illegals invasion!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
