I do.
We recently had a school board election in my town. I went to the table to sign in and one woman behind the table says to me,"Did'nt you just come in here?" I said, "What are you tallking about?" and She says again looking nervous,"Did'nt you just come in here? Did'nt you just lose a child here?" I responded, "NO! I was not just in here!! I must have a twin! Which I do in fact have, but she lives in another town.
I looked at her like she had a couple of screws loose. I was about to blast her again, but I kept my cool. She just embarrassed herself in front of all the other poll workers.
The moral of my story is, even though I was accused of voter fraud and could of had her fired, I realized that it's good to ask questions. The right question. She should of said, "Can I see you ID" If she was PROFESSIONAL, which she definately is not.
Yes, I do think you should ask for ID. I don't want anyone who should'nt be voting , voting in any election or twice for that matter.

Of course people should show ID. This question shouldn't even have to be asked. Are people at the polls ( who by the way are usually just ordinary citizens) supposed to believe that your who you are just because you say so.

Every time I went to vote, I had to show my voter registration, and back it up with my driver's license.

People should be required to show ID, not phone bills, electric bills, etc as they now do in AZ after this law was passed. How does THAT prove citizenship? We can show a drivers license or state ID, or 2 other things, like a bank statement (Hello! Does "Bank of America" make people show proof of citizenship?), a cell phone bill, the list of alternatives goes on and on. This is because people protested that it would keep people from voting because they may not be able to afford the documents needed to prove citizenship. I say if you can afford a cell phone you can afford the $12 it costs for a state ID. Getting a copy of your birth certificate is easy. How many citizens really don't have ID? Maybe an exemption for people who live on tribal lands as they may not have birth certificates, but again, do they never leave tribal land? Never drive? Texas should pass this, but require a real form of ID, not bills (that prove residence, not citizenship).
