What do you think of President Bush's speech on illegal immigration?
He went too far in restricting immigration
He solved most or all of my concerns, so I'm greatly relieved
Finally he's on the right track, but these are only baby steps to what is really needed
A powerful start, but much more needs to be done
He didn't even scratch the surface
Bush really needs to dump his idiotic guest-worker program
To tap the National Guard, but not really use them is a cruel joke
It was pathetic, nothing short of sealing the border and deporting illegals will solve the problem
I'm completely outraged. Bush just doesn't get it!

This was a pure political ploy.
He is doing everything he can at this stage to push the same old that 80% of Americans have already vehemently opposed. Saying something 10 different ways and hoping to get a different reaction is downright insult to intelligence. Nothing changed, only what we already heard was repeated.
National guard is just a carrot that is being waved to us. It will solve nothing, it won't even play an enforcement role and can be / will be withdrawn on first notice, reverting back to chaos again...which many seem to have grown to like...especially the rich.
So, sales pitch just continued and we don't like the product. And, what about other issues...they will increase the quota tremendously...Three year program afterwards doesnn't address the 5 kids they will eventually have. Basically, the flow will remain the same (with kids here they will never leave), and now, we won't even be able to do anything about it.
His pitch for the rich doesn't end. And, if we Americans don't make a stand here...they will in-source and out-source every single one of us.
Stay sharp, your future depends on it.

The elite class, the corporations and various special interest groups are very pleased with their figurehead lackey puppet.
I ensure you that when Busy Boy departs office corporate America and others will be clamoring to be the one to reward him in so many ways. Bush will be very well-rewarded financially and with oh so many benefits the vast majority of Americans will never see.

sophistry scuppered specious speech.
As Mark Twain said, there are lies, damn lies, and statistics. I believe I just heard the 2nd."Never suppose that in any possible situation, or under any circumstances, it is best for you to do a dishonorable thing..." --Thomas Jefferson
