These so called "polls" don't mean squat! Guaranteed if that EVERY citizen in Tennessee took the "poll", the number against legal and especially illegal immigration would FAR OUTNUMBER the others!!!!!!!!
<div>"Diversified"*does NOT*mean invading*our Country and forcing their culture and language,**stealing jobs,*using fake ID',s, living on government benefits, and flying their flag over ours! </div>

I agree that the polls are crap and that if every citizen w/o family who's illegal was polled that illegal aliens would be seen as a huge drawback to our society.

However many people also feel immigrants themselves are a burden also and this varies widely from place to place and person to person often being tied to the persons own more recent experiences. For instance you say "legal immigrant" if the legal immigrant the first pops into a persons head is say Muslim more would say its bad on our economy. If the legal immigrant is Latino they may mix them with the illegal crowd or assume they support the illegal crowd and say immigrants as a whole is bad. However if Legal Immigrant first into a person's head is an immigrant who's working hard and decent, or owns a legit and decent business, and so forth they may think legal immigrants are great and a boon to our society.

To be really fair one should really categorize legal immigrants also. You'll find a much bigger difference when you mention specific immigrant groups some being considered really bad and others considered extremely good. Keep in mind however its not racist but conclusions we all draw ourselves from our experiences and the experiences around us.
