Study shows Pa. residents’ feelings on issues

The 2007 Mansfield University State Survey has been released.

The study gauged the feelings of Pennsylvanians on various issues including the war in Iraq, illegal immigration gambling and more.

Among the findings of the survey were:

Three out of four adults approve of communities like Hazelton that penalize companies that hire illegal immigrants.

Nearly three out of four state residents disapprove of gambling casinos being allowed to serve free, unlimited alcoholic beverages to gamblers.

Three out of four Pennsylvanians believe wrongly convicted inmates should be compensated financially.

Seventy-two percent of residents believe that global warming is occurring.

Seventy-four percent of the state’s residents would pick troop withdraw over the escalation of forces in the Middle East.

One in four state adults takes care of an elderly person.

Nine out of 10 Pennsylvanians believe that all of the state’s adults should be guaranteed health care.

Nearly three out of four residents agree that the state government should operate transparently.

It goes to show, that you don't have to be a "border state" to feel that illegal immigration is a threat to communities like Hazelton. Americans are experiencing the consequences of illegal aliens presence , such as overcrowding of schools, emergency rooms, housing, and free benefits that are given away to people that haven't earned them. NO ONE NEEDS A SURVEY TO FIND OUT THAT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS DON'T BELONG HERE!
