That's like asking a date for a kiss after you've whined and dined her! Why give her the opportunity to argue the point or say no, just steal the kiss and be done with it.

We've bent over backwards attempting to appease the Mexican government - I for one think that needs to end - it's time for our elected officials to listen to the American people!

This question shows how far America has sunk, for us to even be asking ourselves this kind of question! God help us!

I guess they think that all those illegals they have working for the El Paso Times are going to vote in the polls. Perhaps they don't know that those people can't even READ, much less understand the question.

Why should we consult with Mexico about anything? They have shown their unwillingness to be good neighbors time and time again.

We as AMERICANS should not even have to be asked the following:

    1. Should English be the official language?
    2. Should illegals be deported?
    3. Should a border fence be built?
    4. Shoud we have to press one to continue in English?
    5. Should OUR government be doing more?
    6. Should we consult with Mexico about anything that happens in OUR
    country?

This is America!! Love it, or get the hell out!!!

Excellent point, AngryTX. Only problem is that there are people who aren't in TX and who haven't lived with this nonsense year after year who don't seem to understand what it is like. So far, there are more of them than there are of us and their voices are loud, even though they don't have a clue what they are talking about.

The recent elections told me that we are in worse shape than I ever imagined. I hang around sites that are fighting the illegal immigration problem a lot so I didn't realize how many people are STILL out there who don't have a clue what's going on.

In TX, we are leaning one way or the other depending upon whether all our relatives are illegal aliens or we are the people paying the bills for those illegal relatives. It isn't that way in states where the illegal aliens aren't so visible. While their problem grows, ours has become a staggering burden that makes us furious.
