Proposal in Texas for a Public-Private Toll Road System Raises an Outcry

    By RALPH BLUMENTHAL
ROBSTOWN, Tex. — Leon Little’s farm here near Corpus Christi would not be seized for Texas’s proposed $184-billion-plus superhighway project for 5 or 10 years, if ever.

TXDOT's arrogance on the TTC is mind-boggling. Last month in a meeting outside of Houston (Waller, TX to be exact), the acting director told everyone these roads are not going to Mexico - they stop in Laredo & Brownsville. Every Texas I know is fighting this. Unfortunately, Texas Legislature meets only every other year and until Rick Perry is out of office, this will not go away.

So true..they hide or downplay the fact that the Reconquistas are what are placing demands for these roads.they need to build the BACK to MEXICO highway and finance it with taxes from remittances....
