Proof the Media are in the Tank for Leftist Causes

Proof the Media are in the Tank for Leftist Causes

You don’t need any more evidence to prove that the mainstream media support Leftist causes. If any Republican President had the economic numbers that President Obama has, he would have been run out of town on a rail after he had been literally tarred and feathered.
The gaffe-prone Joe Biden, if he had been a Republican, would have been ridiculed worse than Dan Quayle. Consider this from former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani who described Biden as “not very smart”:
“I’ve never seen a vice president that has made as many mistakes, said as many stupid things. I mean, there’s a real fear that if, God forbid, he ever had to be entrusted with the presidency, whether he really has the mental capacity to handle it. I mean, this guy just isn’t bright.”
Even Osama Bin Laden thought Biden was an incompetent vice presidential choice. Newsmax reports:
Documents found after the terror kingpin was killed in a U.S. raid showed the al-Qaida leader wanted to assassinate Obama — because he thought putting Biden in the Oval Office would plunge America into chaos.
Here are two examples of a much longer list of gaffes and blunders.
In 2010 Biden mentioned the mother of Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen, who was visiting the United States, as if she was still living. She had died earlier that year.
“Biden asked Sen. Chuck Graham to stand up to be recognized by the crowd at a rally on Sept. 9, 2008. Apparently, Biden somehow forgot that Graham uses a wheelchair. ‘Chuck, stand up, let the people see you,’ said Biden. ‘Oh, God love ya. . . . What am I talking about?”
There are many more. You can read them here.
On Thursday’s edition of MSNBC’s The Cycle there was a discussion of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his statement that President Obama should “take [his] campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago.” Co-host Touré, who is black, turned it into a racial issue. Obama is from Chicago. People talk about “Chicago politics” as a rough and tumble style that originated with mostly white mayors, in particular, Richard J. Daley who served as mayor from 1955 to 1976.
The hit series Boss is about a ruthless white Chicago mayor named Tom Kane.
Touré claimed that there were “explicit racial connotations beneath what Romney was saying, calling it the ‘******ization’ of the campaign.” If a Republican, even a black Republican, had used the “N” word in any form, it would have been all she wrote.

Some of you may recall when David Howard, the white aide to Anthony A. Williams, the black mayor of Washington, D.C., used “niggardly” in reference to a budget. The word means “stingy,” and has nothing to do with the “N” word. Some of the mayor’s black colleagues wanted Howard let go.[1]
But the most obvious example of blatant journalistic prejudice is the way the shooting of a security guard at the Family Research Council has been reported. Only Fox and ABC gave the full details.
The other networks reported segments of the story and keep bringing up the false charge that the FRC is a “hate group,” a lie propagated by the ultra left-wing fund raising machine the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Other than Fox and ABC, no other network reported that the shooter Floyd Corkins was a volunteer for six months at the Center for the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgendered Community in DC. Ben Shapiro writes:
It took the media hours to report on the shooting. As of this writing . . . it is not on the front page of the Los Angeles Times. It isn’t on the front page of the New York Times. It’s nowhere to be found.
Now, imagine that an enraged Christian man had entered the headquarters of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation wielding a backpack full of ammunition. Imagine he began shouting about the sin of same-sex marriage. Imagine he’d shot a guard. Is there any doubt it would have made the front page of every newspaper in the country?
Is there any doubt at all that Democrats would immediately have accused Republicans for inciting this man, blamed churches for indoctrinating him, and called for regulation of “offensive hate speech”?
Most of all, wouldn’t the White House immediately call for an exponential increase in the amount of funding for their anti-bullying program, headed up by Dan Savage, and focusing in large measure on preventing bullying of gay kids?
But when a gay activist shoots up a traditional values center, nobody has anything to say.
If Romney and Ryan win in November, you will see America’s media do an about face. They will nit-pick every misspoken word and bad economic number. They’re already doing it by making an issue of Paul Ryan’s wardrobe. With 8.3 percent unemployment, they focus on what Ryan is wearing.
    What snakes.

    Notes:
    • Howard was later given a new job after the homosexual community complained about the firing. Howard is a homosexual. []

Unfortunately, this is nothing new. Media bias was a major reason for the loss of the Viet Nam war by reporting only the negative side of the war, and of course our weak kneed politicians would not challenge the media or present any countering information. If the media had acted this way during WW II we would have lost that one too.

I hope that by the time the election is over the lack of journalistic expertise, objectivity, professionalism, and integrity will be so obvious that most of the MSM is put out of business. You would think they would be concerned over low viewership, decreasing print sales etc that they would change but they blame it on the internet and not their own shoddy product.
