Bush tax cuts

‘U’-Shaped rescission of tax cuts vs. whipsaw destruction

It is encouraging to see three (3) Democrats placing the good of the country ahead of rigid ideology for the first time in eighteen 18 months in regards to the rescission of the Bush tax cuts. It is unfortunate that virtually all Democrats and even some Republicans are wedded to the belief that ‘tax fairness’ will increase tax revenues to pay for their distorted belief in ‘social justice.’ Who are the arbiters of this ‘justice,’ and who appoints them? Is this Constitutional?

One has only to look at Senator John Kerry’s flight from taxes in his home state of Massachusetts to realize these hypocrites speak with forked tongues. Are we supposed to trust these despots for our national security and economy when they ‘DODDge’ the laws, especially tax laws, they thrust upon those they have sworn an oath to serve? So, what is an out-of-control government to do?

Does the rescission of the Bush tax cuts have to be an ‘all-or-nothing’ proposition? Why would a government that is hemorrhaging money want to severely constrict the flow of money into its coffers, unless it is doing so on purpose? BHO campaigned on rescinding the Bush tax cuts, but he also promised that those making under $250,000.00 a year would not see their taxes increase by even one dime. How clever; it will be many thousands of dimes!

In an effort to be truly ‘bi-partisan,’ why doesn’t Congress increase taxes in the reverse of how they were reduced, a ‘U’-shaped rescission that can provide a gentle return to excessive tax rates that inhibit the economy? If the ‘jobs’ issue is truly the number one issue, wouldn’t this compromise between the ‘all-or-nothing’ options being discussed allow time for the government to stabilize an economy that is in critical condition, and allow both sides to enjoy a minor win? The major winners will be the abused private sector, especially the small business person, and the working class, both those employed and those still searching for employment.

Of course, this idea will throw a wrench into the Progressive machine, (the Pied Pipers of Poverty), that is apparently determined to continue taking us down the path towards socialism, collectivism, or whatever ‘ism’ you want to call it, so that is probably why this idea has not yet been floated, at least not in public.
Don’t let them use our political system against us!

When people in the general public have to do the thinking for those in Congress and the White House, isn’t it time to replace those neck-deep in the cement of Washington’s partisan politics with people who are empathetically closer in policy and reality to those they seek to serve? Elected politicians are in office to serve the public, not suppress us. Don’t let them use our political system against us!

We are inching towards a momentous mid-term election. Are you registered to vote and serious about reclaiming our country and our Constitution from those who seek our ruin. You and I can make November 2, 2010, as historic for positive reasons as the ill-fated November 4, 2008, election has been for the mess in which we currently find ourselves! The world is watching, and those dedicated to freedom are cheering us onto victory in this crucial election. Stand up and be counted!
