supporting initiatives such as a U.S.-Mexico highway corridor and legalized temporary labor for Mexican citizens are mandatory in reining in illegal immigration

McCaffrey said the inevitable border fence is not the answer. Instead, increasing the numbers of Border Patrol officers and supporting initiatives such as a U.S.-Mexico highway corridor and legalized temporary labor for Mexican citizens are mandatory in reining in illegal immigration.
WRONG McCAFFREY. The border fence is needed to make it known to Mexicans and other foreign intruders that THIS IS THE BOUNDRY LINE- IT IS A CRIME TO CROSS OVER THE FENCE ILLEGALLY.

We can increase the number of border agents, but we would have to have one for every 10' to stop illegal immigrants from sneaking in. AND ... the economy is so bad now, WE DONT NEED IMMIGRANTS FROM MEXICO TO FILL THE SCARCE JOBS THAT SHOULD GO TO AMERICANS. Why not encourage Mexico to DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING, TO CREATE JOBS FOR ITS OWN PEOPLE?

I am absolutely dumbfounded that these pundits think the Americans are so stupid that a highway running Mexican trucks throughout the country and "temporary" labor that never leaves is a solution to the illegal problem. Sorry, McCaffrey, I might not have the education you do, but I know how not to step into cowpies.
